Scheduling a migration

The multi-array Migration wizard simplifies the task of migration by providing a list of target arrays sorted by performance impact.

About this task

When you are using the multi-array Migration wizard, the default scheduling option is for the migration to be scheduled for a recommended time based on the current system workload. You can change the recommended time in the Schedule Migration dialog.

Steps

  1. On the Review Migration page of the multi-array Migration wizard, click An icon showing a pencil symbol.
    The Schedule Migration dialog is displayed. There is a graph showing system utilization. Hovering over the graph displays the source and target system utilization for that point in time.
  2. In the Schedule Migration dialog, do one of the following:
    • Manually set the date and time at which you want the migration to take place.
    • On the graph, hover over a time and date, and click to select it.
  3. Optionally, you can configure notifications in the Email Notifications section.
  4. Click OK.
